USB Interface:

All Models come with a USB interface. Acquisition is 3-4 times as fast as the serial port version.

Resistance Threshold:

M2: 46k ohms, fixed.

M3: 0.5 ohms to 10 Megohms, settable thresholds for conductivity and isolation, able to measure embedded resistors and diodes.

M3 USB: 0.3k ohms to 10 Megohms, settable thresholds for conductivity and isolation, able to measure embedded resistors and diodes.


Test Signals:

M2: 0-5vDC Bidirectional, 0.2ma
Cables are tested using signals comparable to the signals employed in actual use.

M3 USB: 0-10vDC Bidirectional, 1ma


Interface Connectors:

All units employ industry-standard 64-pin dual-row latch headers, 0.1" pin spacing. Order identical male headers (Item 851), mating sockets (Item 855), and 64-conductor flat cable (Item 854) for custom interface projects.

Remote Control Socket:

M2-Basic: (none)

M2: miniDIN8 to extend the TEST pushbutton and the READY, MATCH, and ERROR LED lamps. May also connect a footswitch.

M3: (same as M2), plus external test completion signal (sink 200ma current for relay activation).

Test Logic: All mathematically possible combinations of test points are measured to exhaustively check wiring connections. Complex networks of wiring, and wiring harnesses with many connector heads, may be measured, stored, and compared to matching wiring even when the graphic image becomes too involved for clear presentation.

Computer Requirements: Windows Version: Any Windows-capable machine with a USB port. Printer is recommended.

Operating System (v5 software):

Windows XP, Vista and 7.


Printer Requirements: Any printer with a Windows driver will suffice. Software driver included for Eltron and Zebra thermal printers.
