This sturdy, lightweight scanner acts as a second keyboard in
your system by substituting data scanned from a barcode for keystrokes
that you would have manually typed. Order the USB version if your
computer supports USB devices, or the Keyboard Wedge version to
insert between your keyboard and the computer using a supplied
cable. No special software drivers are necessary because the bar
code reader itself contains a microprocessor, scanning software,
and USB or keyboard interface.
Scan bar codes over a range of 0.5 to 7 inches from the lens. The unit scans 44 times per second shutting off after the first successful read. Scan bar codes up to 4.5" wide. All major bar code formats supported including UPC, Codabar, Code 128, Code 39, 2 or 5, and MSI/Plessy. Compatible with Windows 98 and above. Two year warranty.
