Store Cable Data in Searchable Database

Specify the cable you wish to load by selecting the Category, and then typing the Name or Description. As you enter characters, the list below is reduced to show only names starting with the characters you've typed. At any time, you may scroll into the list to make your selection, or wait until only a single cable name is shown. The first 20 characters of the cable's descriptive notes are shown on the right. (more text below)

Loading a Cable from the Database

If you have an unlabeled cable, measure it with CableEye and then search the database for a match to its wiring. When a match is found, you will see the cable's part number and descriptive notes for immediate identification.

Searching the Cable Database for a Match

If a match is not found, repeat the search with less stringent conditions until a similar cable type is found.

CableEye's database engine was developed by CAMI Research especially for managing cable files. Because it is indexed, searches proceed very quickly (typically less than 0.2 seconds). Only the size of your hard disk limits the number of cables that can be stored.
